7

Mick Byrd is an acoustic singer songwriter who also plays with a band "Bonus Track" in the St. Louis and Kansas City areas. He has recorded 6 CD albums and performs at wineries, fairs, festivals, and colleges as well as coffee houses and the occasional bar gig. Byrd describes his music as "Americana Roots music". His new CD has some crossover country, some blatantly obnoxious country songs just for fun, tasteful blues cuts, folk-rock and a smattering of bluegrass. He plays a lot of rock 'n' roll chord structures in a non-rock 'n' roll format. His seriously crafted songs are a testament to his observations and are often slice-of-life short stories.

Both Town and country gardens will be on tour. The Garden Tours will have at least 10 gardens, and that number can grow because we are soliciting tour gardens even as this is typed!  This years tour will feature a large water garden hidden in the country,  a delightful weekend retreat garden and "Windy Hill Farm" is returning to the tour. You will see many other city and country gardens that exemplify the best of gardening in Missouri Wine Country.  You'll see everything from endearing and artfully inspired little city gardens to country gardens with stunning vistas of wine country.
Perennial Plant Sale In addition, we will have a perennial sale at the German School on Schiller and 4th street running concurrently with the garden tours.
The plant sale is perennials only and features roughly 1000 plants.  New this year to the sale will be free garden designs that will use the plants featured in the sale!   Also Wildflowers From Missouri Wildflower Farm will be featured at the sale.  Start your own Missouri Wildflower Garden this summer! The perennials sold will be from both garden club members gardens and perennials grown by members and students at the high school.  All of the perennials sold are proven hardy to our area gardens.   Once again this sale supports the scholarship program.  Tickets for the garden tour will be sold at the plant sale.   many of the plants that you see in the tour gardens will be sold at the plant sale.  The perennial sale runs from 10 - 5 on Sat. and 10 - 3 on Sunday or when the plants run out which ever comes first!
